Kato came to us from Greatwood Caring for Retired Racehorses for us to bring on. He had been with them for 6 months and they had a little trouble getting to grips with this lively lad. It seams that his spontaneous combustion antics got the better of them. But it more like he was just a little fresh, and after a couple of days free schooling he was no problem.
His biggest issue was hacking alone, but with patience he mastered this and then went on and progressed nicely with his flat work and excelled in his jumping. He even tried his hand at side-saddle and thought nothing of it.
His first outing at a pleasure ride was quite uneventful, though a little bouncy he was never out of control. He was returned to Greatwood for re-homing.
